About project
At eConnect, we had the privilege of designing and implementing the Expert Legal website, a cutting edge legal-tech platform that allows users to create, sign, and securely store legally compliant documents online. This project was an exciting opportunity to bring together intuitive user experience, robust backend security, and seamless online document management. We aimed to create a tool that would be highly functional for both individual users and businesses, while maintaining top-notch security standards to safeguard sensitive data.
Expert Legal needed a website that would be both accessible to non-tech users and sophisticated enough to handle legal documents with the highest security. Our team employed a modern technology stack, utilizing CakePHP as the main framework to deliver a reliable and flexible PHP backend. Combined with MySQL for data management, the platform efficiently processes user accounts, document creation, and secure storage. We built the user interface with a combination of JavaScript and Vue.js, offering a responsive and highly interactive front end to ensure users can access and interact with their documents seamlessly across various devices.
Security was a top priority throughout this project. We designed the backend database with secure, encrypted storage practices in mind. Every layer of data transfer and storage has been encrypted to meet compliance standards and protect user data against unauthorized access. For authentication, we implemented tokenized security layers to ensure that users’ sensitive information, including personal and legal data, remained private and secure. We also employed SSL protocols to encrypt communications between users and the server, ensuring safe data transfer at every stage of document generation, signing, and storage.
To meet the legal industry’s need for flexible and customizable documents, we developed an intuitive system for creating tailored legal forms. Leveraging the flexibility of Vue.js, we implemented dynamic form generation that adjusts based on user inputs, making it easier to customize document templates without legal expertise. This feature allows users to have a personalized experience, generating legal documents with guided instructions that ensure compliance with current regulations, while being versatile enough to cater to both personal and business needs.
That is the heart of the Expert Legal platform. The creator functions on carefully crafted “scenarios,” pre-structured pathways developed by legal professionals that guide users through a tailored question-and-answer format. Each scenario is adapted to specific legal needs, allowing users to create documents ranging from vehicle sales contracts to property agreements. As users navigate the creator, questions adjust based on the type of document, ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and accurate for each unique case.
Once completed, the document may be finalized (that’s user’s decision) and electronically signed by a certified e-signature generated via the Autenti platform, a trusted solution widely recognized in Poland. This integration ensures that each document is not only tailored to users’ specific choices but also secure and legally binding, offering clients both convenience and the assurance of a reliable, high-quality legal tool.
Another standout feature of Expert Legal is its automated invoicing and account management system. Once users complete and sign documents, invoices are automatically generated and securely stored in the user’s account, allowing for easy tracking and record-keeping. This not only simplifies the user’s experience but also offers a more structured and organized platform for businesses that rely on accurate documentation and streamlined financial oversight.
The end result is a powerful, user-friendly, and secure legal documentation platform that meets the needs of modern businesses and individual users alike. Expert Legal represents a new wave in legal technology, making legal services more accessible, secure, and convenient for all users.
